  • Start your day with a morning walk, run, or bike ride on the Rhine promenade where you can enjoy the views of the Rhine river and the city's skyline. You can also stop at one of the riverfront cafes for a coffee and a croissant. As for breakfast, Düsseldorf offers a wide variety of options, from traditional German breakfast to more contemporary options. A traditional German breakfast typically consists of bread, butter, jam or honey, cheese, and cold cuts.

  • The Flea market at Carlsplatz is the perfect place for lunch if you're looking for a casual and affordable meal. There you can find different street food stands and small vendors where you can grab some grilled sausages, "Currywurst" (curried sausages), falafel, döner kebab, as well as fruits and sweets.

  • Düsseldorf is known for its vibrant nightlife scene, with a wide variety of options for entertainment. The old town (Altstadt) is a popular spot for nightlife entertainment, with many traditional bars and pubs offering a variety of local beers and a lively atmosphere. You can also find some of the famous "Kneipen" (pubs) in the old town, common spots for locals and tourists to spend their evenings. The city has a great selection of clubs that offer a variety of music genres, from techno and house to disco and pop. Some of the most famous clubs are in the Medienhafen, but you can find clubs in other neighbourhoods like Bilk or Flingern.

  • Take a boat tour along the Rhine to see the picturesque towns and castles that line the river. Visit the city of Köln (Cologne) located about an hour's train ride from Düsseldorf and known for its impressive gothic cathedral and lively Christmas markets. Visit the Natural Park "Niederrhein" in the Lower Rhine region, an area of natural beauty located just outside Dusseldorf. The park offers a variety of landscapes and habitats, from wetlands to woodlands, and is a great destination for hiking, cycling, and bird watching.
