Position: Head of Appearance (Operations)

Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring all activities align with wider business goals and quality standards.
Monitor team performance and work closely with leadership to drive improvements through coaching, development plans, and performance management.
Mentor and support junior managers and team leads, fostering a high-performance and results-driven culture.
Manage and deliver department-related projects focused on operational excellence, quality enhancement, and cost efficiency.
Drive initiatives that strengthen the company’s overall brand image, presentation standards, and operational success.
Continuously review and optimise workflows, introducing digital tools and process improvements where needed.
Develop and implement procedures that improve productivity, consistency, and operational effectiveness.
Oversee inventory management, monitor stock usage trends, and escalate critical issues when necessary.
Use KPIs, reporting, and data-driven insights to evaluate departmental performance and support strategic decision-making.
Manage departmental budgets, procurement activities, and purchasing processes with a strong focus on cost optimisation.
Support vendor selection, supplier management, and contract negotiations.
Collaborate closely with internal departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and effective cross-functional communication.
Ensure all outputs consistently meet company branding, presentation, and quality expectations across multiple locations.
Support the launch and scaling of new operational sites by implementing departmental standards from the ground up.
Contribute to workforce planning, efficiency improvements, and long-term team development strategies.
Requirements
Native or fluent English (C1), both written and spoken.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a senior leadership or management role.
Proven experience managing teams, projects, and cross-functional operations.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and people leadership skills.
Experience with budgets, procurement, cost optimisation, and KPI reporting.
Strong commercial and analytical mindset with confidence working with numbers.
Background in procurement, supply chain, finance, or other fast-paced operational environments is highly desirable.
Interest in style, branding, aesthetics, or visual presentation would be a strong advantage.
Experience within media, entertainment, gaming, or similarly dynamic industries is a plus.
Strong coaching, mentoring, and team development abilities.
