Audio Visual Technician - English - Bucharest

Position: Audio Visual Technician

Location: Bucharest, Romania

Employment type: Full-time

Work model: on-site

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage internal communication with the operations control room and external communication with agencies regarding CCTV matters

  • Oversee the operations control room, ensuring all technical equipment is maintained, including procurement of supplies, services, and repairs

  • Perform daily checks on camera functionality (cleaning, testing, ensuring proper recording)

  • Ensure cameras are connected and properly identified on the monitoring system (e.g., AXIS Camera Station, Milestone, Hikvision)

  • Address issues with CCTV systems and implement necessary modifications

  • Install, configure, and manage CCTV applications (Milestone, AXIS Camera Station, etc.)

  • Conduct routine maintenance as per the master plan and train CCTV operators on system functions, providing manuals and procedures as needed

  • Coordinate with the Network and Storage teams to ensure secure connections and data integrity

  • Ensure 24/7 emergency support for CCTV failures, process work requests, and maintain CCTV client software on desktops.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Native or fluent in English (C1 level), with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication

  • Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Systems Engineering

  • Proficient in relevant software for CCTV management and monitoring

  • Previous experience in similar roles, including full installation and configuration of CCTV systems

  • Expertise in troubleshooting CCTV systems

  • Experience with Windows Server and Linux environments

  • Familiarity with Milestone or other CCTV management applications is a plus

  • Experience with storage systems such as SAN, NAS, and DAS is desirable

  • Working knowledge of LAN administration tasks, including user management and backups

  • Experience with server and storage hardware, especially HP, Dell, EMC, and Blade systems, is advantageous

  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking.
